I love, at the same time feel sad for, old buildings in disrepair. . . beautiful images, but sad to think what they once were; homes, working farms, full of life and industry.

If you have never been to see the log buildings in the SMNP, you should, they are magical. And if you are able to go when crowds are down and bears are about, even better. This will probably end up a painting this spring.
