A Labor Day weekend with good weather just called for a couple of pool parties, one of which required a good spread of food. . . .
. . . lots of time spent outside playing and doing yard work. . . .
. . . garden at grandma's still doing well . .
. . . grandma shoulder deep in the tomatoes . . .
. . . who would have thought okra would have such a pretty flower. . .
. . . tomatoes have finally started coming into their own. . .
. . . "the Okra is as high as an elephants eye, and it looks like it's climbing clear up to the sky,"
who knows what movie that's from?
Well Okrahoma of course! . . .
. . . grandma posing with the produce. . .
. . . really, does anyone want some okra? . . .
. . . saved a couple of plants for the young one to pick tomatoes from . . .
. . . that lasted till the first itchy plant and possibility of bugs . . .
. . so instead she helped mom plant some flowers along grandma's front walk . . .
. . . then watering. . .
. . . okra wasn't the only thing budding . . .
. . . so was the artist in her. . . .
